The plot is developed in a rush because the film was forced down in length - It was intended to be a 3 part film. Some people who worked on it wished it was done as a series so they got to tell the whole story properly. See it as a romantic gangster film that tips its hat at most of Kashyap’s favourite gangster films and you will get it.
