Just watched it. Loved it. It is intoxicatingly beautiful.. there’s no other way to put it. The score and the cinematography is haunting. The conflicting interplay of relationships of the 3 leads amidst an extremely conservative/regressive family setting is interesting to watch.

2022-04-06 00:52:11 +0000 UTCThis movie is based on the book by the same name - Cobalt Blue written by Sachin Kundalkar in Marathi in 2006. The movie is also directed by Sachin Kundalkar. His other movie 'Happy Journey' (Marathi)is also a very good watch. Call Me By Your Name was published after Cobalt Blue so its definitely not an adaptation of Call Me By Your Name . Think in CMBYN the story is mainly about the two young boys with Elio's journey being the focus. In Cobalt Blue the journey is about both the brother and the sister. A beautifully made movie where there might be some scenes that might remind you of CMBYN.

In fact this is based on a novel called Cobalt Blue written by Sachin Kundalkar. Was first published in Marathi language in 2006 (before CMBYN was published). Cobalt blue was re released in English language in 2013.
