Indian education isn’t innocent of this practice, daily we see attempts to erase and rewrite Indian history too.. ( too complicated to go into detail here) so in short those in power seek to maintain power by relying on the ignorance or miseducation of their youth, this is the most important message I try to impart on my students.. in this day and age the syllabus is no longer the only source of information.. learn to educate yourself on the past from credible sources.. end lecture/rant 😬

They totally overlook the profound challenges those governments grappled with, such as communal disharmony, widespread poverty, and recurrent famines, upon inheriting a newly independent nation. Despite these monumental hurdles, these early administrations played a crucial role in laying the foundation for the India we see today.

2023-08-27 03:37:19 +0000 UTCThis video enraged me to the MAXXXXX but also welled my eyes up in tears immediately afterwards seeing how India has recovered post Independence. There are some so-called seculars in India who somehow bring up the British rule and say "considering the corruption today in India, it would've been better if British rule continued....". This video should serve them an implicit riposte (sorry for the langage). Considering how British extracted us dry for 200 years, in the 76 years post Independence, we are making massive strides and became first country to land on the South pole of the moon and nearly a world superpower. Mighty proud!!
