But still I don't get why they just couldn't name the foreign premise as in reality. Clearly they promoted Budapest, probably get something in Hungary for that. So why call it Italy? Maybe because it sounded "cooler"

I mean yeah, I hated her Dad too but I think her relationship with Salman Khan's character was too fast & immature....more like an infatuation that she thought was love cause she didnt know better.

For gods sake his daughter attempted suicide and he didnโt even bat an eye I wanted Nandini and Sameer together because I loathe the father and they loved each other genuinely and it bothers me that she decided to stay with Vanraj only because heโs her husband. What a bummer

2023-08-31 00:34:02 +0000 UTCI liked it more today than when I watched it first time. Then the second "Italian" part was ruined for me because this Italy plot doesn't make any sense. Whole shooting is in Budapest which by no means looks like Italian city. People there speak Hungarian, in some scenes with "Italian accent". There's Hungarian folk dance and Hungarian spicy peppers... And many terrible white actors. Today I could more enjoy the story ready for all that. But I always liked the music, songs, visuals in the first part, Aishwarya and Ajay Devgan. I liked Salman in the first part, had some really good scenes, unfortunately weaker in the 2nd part. Generally think that SJB had a concept for Salman, how to present him in the film, even better in Khamoshi. And I liked it more than Manmarziyan (similar plot), for me emotionally more beleviable.

Also boy, watched this movie again after a long time and it hasnโt aged well ๐ฌ apart from the songs and obviously Aishwarya there was a tonne of problematic stuff. Nevertheless, enjoyed listening to the soundtrack again

2023-08-30 19:57:04 +0000 UTCAlso, I love the quirkiness in this film.. bhansali is Gujarati and does a lot of films with Gujarati families. They can be very fun and love banter and poking fun at each other in good spirit. I actually thought this was one of his more grounded depictions of real people rather than the over the top characters in Ram Leela. Even the dichotomy of the family being fun but regressive is a realist depiction. And we re happy about that fart scene because it brings that fun, simplicity and innocence to the fore. Farting, drawing cartoons of the other, playing kho kho, little pranks etc... It's how we flirted subtly in front of others. Well, not the farting but the rest of it, lol!

She was supposed to be a love crazy young innocent girl who had just given into love completely. Which is why her silliness and stubborness also make sense. Also, I think Ajay Devgan wasn't staying up till 4 am to sex her but because he was thinking about what the hell was going on. Although I do agree that he shouldnt have tried to be intimate with her when there wasn't an invitation from her but in those times, we overlooked these things. Also, I don't think Salman was as such groping her like that when she slapped him. They had shown in a scene earlier that they would hug and had a certain physical comfort. He was flirting with her and her problem wasn't him touching her but that someone would see them being like that. I agree he s still wrong but there was a certain childishness and silliness in the whole dynamic rather than malice or exerting power over another. We didn't think she did anything wrong by slapping her but we also didn't think he d made a gross violation. Maybe we need to change how we think, idk. Ajay Devgan dragging her shocked me even then and I wonder why they chose to show that. Perhaps it was for a dramatic effect so that we as the audience expect him to unleash hell on her but then he turns out to be a nice guy.

Pls not that time there was no social media so you have to watch to influence you.. it was a very slow movie. I loved Aiswarya and hated Salman in the movie... i will do one more watch with you as i love your watch along
