The disparity is shown pretty well in Gully Boy.. with Ranveer's character in slum, Alia's a little better (a house next to slums but has an ipad) and Kalki at much higher standard.

Mumbai is like NY.. the costs of living, transportation add up so quickly.. and the amount of time you will spend just in transportation is insane.. what an average American lives here like cannot equate with living in Mumbai even if you have the money. Because you are used to a certain lifestyle...And if you want the same in Mumbai, you will end up spending the same if not more.. Mumbai life is very different compared to rest of India

Maybe other smaller cities but not in Mumbai. It’s crazy how that city works! Super rich and super poor coexist living next door to each other.
