Akshay has beaten the "pick a real life issue and make a movie out of it" stereotype so much that it has become so boring and uninteresting.... This looks similar to Airlift... There is a joke going on in Indian circles that anytime there is a real life incident/achievement done by India or within India, Akshay Kumar must be taking notes for an upcoming film on it.

Salaar with Telugu ( prabas) Malayalam ( Prithviraj) Kannada with direct Prasanth Neel ( interesting presence by absence of Tamil draw unless you include Shruthi Hassan ( totally different debate on that one)) Versus SRK in india at least. Therefore I think in india ech movie will retain their market share especially when you include the audience affordability of seeing both films based on geography. Now overseas is a completely different equation..
