2025-08-05 21:18:09 +0000 UTCThe sequel has outstanding music but is very rushed. Could've been a series. They rushed character development so all the infidelity feels less impactful. And the ending arc of 2/4 stories is very abrupt and unjustified. Made the female leads seem moody and prone to cheating on spouses randomly, rather than etching out their nuanced stories.. Poor editing and directing. The music was amazing though. Best album in years. Lingers in the soul for ages..

They didn’t follow that it was the radio host guy that Konkona was seeing. I don’t know if it’s because they weren’t paying attention or misunderstood each other. There’s a reason why it’s called stupid reactions 😂 .

He played Vidya Balan’s husband in “Bhool Bhulaiya” and had a brief cameo in “Fanaa” (Aamir Khan and Kajol movie). He was in a few hit movies in the 2000s and had a very promising career ahead of him. Unfortunately he had legal issues: his maid accused him of rape (it was never proven if the accusations were true or false) and that was the end of his movie career. Apparently he lives in the Philippines now.

I didn't understand a lot of Hindi back then, just the basics and my hometown rarely had a Bollywood release. Then my dad used to get us a 3 in 1 pirated DVD once every month on a weekend, and this was in one such DVDs. Didn't have an idea about most actors, the director, singers or the music director, but I loved the movie and music so much that I pestered my dad to get me the music album as well. I used to listen to it on repeat without understanding a lot of the lyrics. Now that I understand the lyrics, it makes the album that much more sweeter and effective. One of my all time favorite albums for a movie

The main singer (the one with piercings) is a Bangladeshi rock singer called James. No, you didn’t see KK in the band although the album had versions of him singing many of the songs. I particularly like his Alvida & Oh Meri Jaan. And Rick, please talk less and watch (& listen) more.Konkona’s bf was clearly a gay, not bi. He was pretending to have a gf (Konkona) and possibly get married (as is the societal “norm”) so he could continue his relationship with the other gay guy (Konkona’s boss i believe) in private. And Konkona was definitely not a homophobic; you would have realized that if you’d listened carefully to her dialogues, especially what she said while leaving her ex.

It was catchy to the point of being an addiction.! Shiney was a good actor, had potential, but alas got caught in a controversy. Dear O' dear how we miss Irfan.! And his chemistry with Konkana is so good, so natural.! I won't be surprised if a lot of their conversations were not scripted.

The band members featuring in the movie includes: Pritam, James(Guy with long hair- Bangladeshi Rock Singer), Suhail Kaul. Metro In Dino Band : Pritam, Raghav Chaitanya , Papon.

2025-07-07 22:05:30 +0000 UTCThe new one 'Metro In Dino' doesn't have any connections with this one but prolly it will have very polarized opinions either you like it or hate, it is also a Musical(Musical), i kind a felt it a bit rushed/forced and unsatisfying & though the music is good.Also you'll see Pritam and band narrating the story again through their music.

Kangana was brand new in films then and her abusive crazy ex was after her and she was in a dangerous position so he and his wife hid her in his office for 15 days while filming this movie. I hope good things happen for him. ❤️

She looks different all the time so you never recognize her but it is noteworthy for this film because she did celebrity big brother in England while this was being made and the british celebs were so racist to her bullying her on that show that it sparked an international political incident (some of the bullying was deemed illegal to air so the show got in a lot of trouble) and in the end 2 British presidents ended up apologizing to her as well as the Queen of England. Her exit interview (and the whole season she was on) is all on YouTube.. she won & forgave the bullies (in fact at one point she was literally crying for one of them when the main bully got voted off by the public bc she realized this girl was stupid targeting an Indian A-lister expecting ppl not to care & she was worried something bad might happen to her in retribution). The british celebs had joked that she must have been a no-name fake celebrity mole or something and somehow just did not think there would be repercussions & it was Jermaine Jackson of all the ppl who was on that season at the same time who took on a fatherly role trying to protect shilpa from the bullies and help her through the craziness. Ironically the two of them were the most famous ppl on the show. Anyway it disrupted the whole shoot of this movie for ages bc of how big the situation got and all the damage control required but anurag basu was super cool about it and bc of all that it ended up being the first indian movie to premiere in leicester square in London.
