And also I'd like to add, a womens combat skills really depends on context to I think. I think genetically we have on average a disadvantage. But some women are stronger then others en and some men are weaker then others. The ammount of training can make the difference too. I have seen tiny female policeofficers knock down big guys, and it was scary to watch, but life saving. If you know how to land the right hit, strength doesn't always do the trick. I've seen small guys win from big guys too. And men generally have stronger arms, but girls have stronger legs. And your skills matter too. I think I wouldn't be that good with punches, but with grappling I've definetely defeated bigger guys. So i'd be interested to learn more about this subject and see more content about this! It's an interesting discussion.

I would like to see an experiment with women's punches strength now. And would generally be interested in a lot more realistic combat video's! Don't rule out our teeth and nails tho hehehhe

100 men with bare hands could tire a gorilla but I donโ€™t think they could kill it that would be extremely difficult other primates have much tougher bodies than us and itโ€™s very powerful itโ€™s gonna break a lot of limbs before it gets tired and even then how are they actually gonna kill it

100 men vs. 1 gorilla = roast gorilla for dinner and a new taxidermy trophy for the clubhouse. As for tigers and bears, they'll run. With only one exception, any predator will withdraw from a fight where there is any reasonable chance of being injured by the prey; a predator cannot afford to sustain damage on every grocery shopping trip, even if it will likely win the encounter. The one exception is boys fighting over girls.

100 mens would certainly win. It's really rough being the only one in the friend group full of Gorilla siders. Trying to get them to understand our point of view is like talking to a brick-wall haha

Done karate for over 30 years. Back in 2009 i got into a fight in a pub, got bit on my forearm and on one of my fingers. Been taught to keep away from the mouth but I'm the moment of self defence and space some things happen you just can't predict.

Matthew Smith

A dwarf would have similar constraints to a crossbow, lots of poundage but a way shorter draw length (because of the shorter arms) so I could see that diminishing a big chunk of the "advantage" you think they would have.

100 Men>>>>>1 Gorilla. This is because the Gorilla will be winded eventually and stamina matters. That's how a single African hunter can exhaust animals much greater then they are by sheer exhaustion. Human beings can regulate their body temperature easier too because we sweat to cool our body. Moroever, 100 Men when in rally, screaming actually terrify animals, and 1 single Gorilla would be having a heart attack. That's how hunters drive out droves of animals to be pushed into hunters in wait to kill the animals for food. 100 Men if they decided to "fight" a Gorilla, would end up with a dead gorilla. There is also a video of 3 human beings walking together confidently to steal food from a pride of Lions, so what do we believe a 100 Men vs Gorilla would do.

Love this content!!! I joined only because I watched every single YouTube video both of you have ever posted several times. I wish I could have joined sooner, but I'm poor..... but I decided to sell my graphics card to join up to see more content! worth every penny!!!

One can visualize completely empty space in the path of the strike, or a wormhole. I don't claim to be a master, and one can always practice more. Timing and distance practice require a non-compliant partner. The problems with chaotic fighting are debilitating injuries and collateral damage. They are unsuitable for and in fact contrary to building everyone's capabilities.

Rob Palatchi

I remember reading in the book of 5 rings a method called "striking from the void", at least as that edition was translated. In solo practicing, the sensation was essentially to strike at any speed with as little effort as possible, visualizing an implosion upon impact. It greatly preserves stamina to strike that way.

100 men - 10 man squads. By the second squad = gorilla's gassed = he tries to run. Done. For some reason the system won't let me comment on the other videos so I'm leaving a comment for how to arm dwarves. Why does everyone forget about distance weapons when we're dealing with dwarves? They have enough strength to pull 300lb (or more) bows!!! With the best made bodkin points anyone has ever seen! Cavalry = pincushions. Porcupine formation becomes a whole new world. If you watch lars Larsen you see bows in combat at extremely close range. Mountain people, how about wooded mountains ? There's your bows. However strong they are they're still short therefore they need reach = spears. That strength translates to Very long spears - much like alexander had during his campaigns. Only it would be a spear per dwarf as opposed to the five man squads alexander had to use. Close combat? Still favor the axe-good for combat and camp chores as well.

Matthew

Yeah, I don't we should take his word for that. Experiments are necessary.

Terry Prothero

Unarmed? The guy has no chance. But armed? That might be a whole different situation. It all depends on what he is armed with.

Terry Prothero

Yeah, one on one, a man has little chance against a gorilla. They have many times our strength. Although, there is a chance he could scare the gorilla off. A lot of animals are skittish around humans. You can often scare off a bear by making some noise. But against 100 men? Even if the gorilla is committed to the fight, he stands no chance. That's completely obvious. Will some of those men be killed? Probably. But the gorilla can't take out all of them.

Terry Prothero

So when do we get a video of Shad being punched by his wife? lol

John Smith

I'm always down for more videos about the truth about combat and weapons and all that sort of stuff. You trade power fantasies for actual power through knowledge, and that can help better shape stories.

Tom Williams

When you brought up the strength of your wife? Comparing a modern urban spouse to a woman of a hundred years ago, the strength requirement is a lot higher. In our modern urban societies with all the time-saving machines allow a lot more freedom because of time, but also because of reduced strength requirements. Context matters.

100 men v any animal. That's called the stone age, we beat it. Just need ~5 meth'd up Floridians high off bath salts. Send in 100 US marines in v gorilla; you get 101 marines out (they recruit the gorilla). Most predators aren't fighters; if you fight and loose, you get hurt, starve, and die. Now bison, rinos, or hippos? Those stay clear of because they're the dangerous ones.

WAA

I did a little bit of training in self-defense for a year or two, and I would be extremely interested in a video on combat when thereโ€™s no rules and your life is on the line

Anna

hey Shad, if a gorilla can be taught sign language they can be taught how to use full auto rifle. 100 men versus 200 shots.

Thomas

I will say when it comes to biology if you're talking baseline average women I won't disagree with you. That being sad I have seen some women that were in good shape and very well trained that have writing a guy's bell before. Now mind you it wasn't a monster of a man or anything like that but again these were fairly well trained in good shape women. And they weren't bodybuilders or anything either but the new where to strike someone to do damage. I had a female friend now granted she was quite tall that was one heck of a kickboxer and let me tell you sparring with her could be difficult unless I got her with him really good grappling range then it was over but striking wise she was quite the force to be reckoned with. I did also see a female acquaintance of mine knock a guy out with a kick but I don't think the guy was very well trained and frankly he deserved it but this is an outlier and an exception not the rule obviously. But yeah movies and fiction do a lot to screw up reality because I feel like they don't convey enough that it's supposed to be fiction and fun.

You can ignore my previous comment You literally said exactly what I brought up right after I posted it lol. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking along these lines

Blindy sama Jake

You guys bring up good points even if it was a mixture of very physically fit and trained and untrained persons etc numbers speak volumes. That being said let's say it is 100 baseline average humans. Still numbers. You can even divide that in a half or a third and it still stand a damn good chance. Now you said unarmed but you didn't say they couldn't turn something in the environment into a weapon. Granted a lot of other primates and some other animals out there are very smart but think about it let's say you even had 10 reasonably fit humans and there are things around that they could easily utilize as some form of tactics or weaponry their chances now go up exponentially. Even without entering with a weapon to begin with. I do think it's an interesting scenario. I mean I would not want to fight a gorilla one-on-one unarmed at all even if I had things in my environment but if I had two to three other decent in shape guys with me I feel heck of a lot better.

Blindy sama Jake

OK, but what about 100 gorillas vs 1 man?
