The Nextlander Watchcast Episode 133: Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010)

We close out April on the Watchcast with the weirdest documentary of the slate, notorious street artist Banksy's examination of himself, the scene he stood at the vanguard of, and his (perhaps) unwitting hand in the commercialization of the movement, Exit Through the Gift Shop.

How do I watch this movie? I can't find it anywhere 🫤

Ramblin Ray

I can't believe Rob Zacny was Banksy all along!

Apologies, things got weird this week. Summer of Soul is going to be up first.

Any news on that schedule post? You didn't mention which movie comes next week on this podcast, so I had to guess it was in the order you mentioned them. I usually have to watch it on Wednesday the week before the episode drops, for scheduling reasons. I can rent most of next months movies on Apple+, but when I have to go other routes in helps having the schedule as soon as possible. Loving the podcast by the way!

Idk if the whole thing is fake, but that "banksy" who is talking is clearly reciting a script. Love you guys!

This is absolutely my favorite podcast going, the work y’all put into these episodes is outstanding. Learning a lot about so many movies I missed (including this one) but I absolutely cannot wait for next month, that lineup is insane! Thanks and keep up the great work

This was a good discussion of a good movie but I would just like to register my excitement for Some Kind of Monster next month. My shithead punk scene friends and I quoted that movie at each other incessantly back in the day. A stone cold classic in my mind.
