From Beyond and Shaft (Original Air Date: 2/21/1997)

Happy Splatterday Night, Geeks!!! (See the mailbag segment here to understand that… 😉)

Tonight we have From Beyond & Shaft, 2 of the greatest Drive-In movies ever for ya, and the time codes are all ready to go at the bottom of this post!

As an added bonus tonight, 40 years after Joe Bob's review of “The Grim Reaper”, our friend & JB Historian Ben Nagy gives us a review of the sequel, “Absurd”. Check out his review here!

In other news, tomorrow night at 8pm is our Discord watchalong of one of the greatest movies of all time “Showgirls“ (excited to hear JB’s thoughts on that one!…Thanks again to Magi for helping me kinda throw it together last minute! 🥰❤️❤️❤️) And we also finalized what our Patron Saint hoodies are going to look like. Here’s a sneak peek for ya (art by our rad ass homie Wallace of Unlovely Frankenstein.)

Enjoy tearing the ❤️ outta your Splatterday Night, Patreon Pals! Hopefully I’ll be talking to a lot of you tomorrow! 🥰❤️❤️❤️

Comparing Re-animator and From Beyond in my head and I don't know if I could pick one over the other. They're like two jigsaw pieces that fit perfectly into the top spot.

Just finished watching From Beyond on Tubi. So good. Almost all of the JB segments synchronize with the commercial breaks on Tubi. Thank you for making JB’s commentary available!

Lol we love you back! ❤️❤️❤️

The world needs more Babs 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I dunno if it is because I requested the 3 X, (Im a fat bastard), Mine came with a Zipper. It's freaking awesome. Just wish I had fellow Horror nerds/mutants up here in South Dakota to hang with.

Tony (asmoody)

Love all of you mutant horror nerds

Tony (asmoody)

Cannot post a pic. But Moody knows BBQ

Tony (asmoody)

That right there, after I smoke the BBQ, is the way is the way I want to go. Making excellent BBQ for a super hot Vamp or Werewolf, and being desert.

Tony (asmoody)

My dream and fantasy is of Darcy looking at me longingly ... Feeding me a baby back rib, then leaning in and feeding from my jugular and looking in my eyes and saying... "You taste of America, & BBQ)"

Tony (asmoody)

Good Goood dam! Joe Bob. You need to knuckle up. I LOVE H.P. Lovecraft. I'm thinking the show starts with a bit of Creature from the black lagoon, in Maine, then the woman gives birth to a Godzilla form of Hastur the Unspeakable right out of the TSR Deities & DemiGods. Yeah I have an original copy and an a nerd... You of all people could produce a Good version of an H.P. Lovecraft movie.

Tony (asmoody)

Oh my goodness that Hoodie is amazing I can't wait to own that! From Beyond is streaming on Tubi and Shaft is on HBO MAX

The hoodie looks awesome, can't wait to get one!

Mike Tocci

Yeah only one season. Low commitment😁.

Love Cinema Snob's reviews of D'Amato's movies and he just did one for Caligula this week. Can't forget Cave Dwellers riffed by Joel and the bots. "How much Keefe is in this?"

GeddyLeeRoth

Saw it on Netflix three years ago and loved it. Joel and Trace from MST3K have recurring roles.

I still have never watched that show but I hear really good things about it, even all these years later!

This made me think of how I am into my first run of the show Freaks and Geeks lol but yeah I'll check out that email 😂
