I thought tonight was gonna be a bit more festive, with a watchalong and whatnot. Alas, I still feel poopy and JB is exhausted, so this (amazing!!) look back at the making of TCM 2 is just gonna have to do for now. (“Make that Saw Fu bigger!!!” 😋)
Thank you soooooooo much to everyone who joined us at the Mahoning this weekend. I hope you enjoyed the Jamboree , despite the hiccups (darn you, Mother Nature!!!) It was awesome to get to see some of you from here and put faces w the names!
Now forgive me whilst I go sleep for the next 24 hours or so… 😉😴😴😴
Absolutely love this video!

That's got to be a record for Cannon Films.

Interesting to see the date on the slate, July 3, 1986. Right before the flick came out. So Joe Bob's scene, along with the driving around footage, was last minute additional shooting, and I don't think any of it ended up in the final cut. The film came out on August 22, 1986, so wow, they were cutting it close! - Marty

Breather in a hockey mask???! I get them confused, too, Joe Bob 😂

Wow I never realized JBB’s cameo appearance was basically him playing a version of himself. What a crime that his footage got cut! Those lines are freakin ill. Saw-Fu! And getting killed while he’s giving it 3 1/2 stars!!! Hahah so cool he wrote his own dialog. And his interview footage is priceless. “I’m sick of these weenies” 😂

Going to have to take off a half star for him bashing on H3 😂.

One of two horror franchise sequels from August 1986 that went for a comedic tone and succeeded and both ended up on Joe Bob's show thanks to the pay deals with Paramount and Cannon.

He's really sticking with this Halloween III hate. Hope you're feeling less poopy.

Part 2 was exactly what it needed to be over the top, funny and great imo. It was a perfect sequel to TCM. I stead of more of the same it took it to a different level. It made you interested in the film. What crazy shit will they do next. Personal favorite of the series.

Give it to Tobe, it was nothing like the original or any of the slasher cotemporays that came after it. Love it or hate it (there is no middle ground) this movie always brings people in discussions. It's my personal favorite of the series. It's the gift that keeps on giving. I always find something new on each initial viewing that I didn't notice before. The blurry workman's print with the slaughter of TX/OU football fans scene that was also cut should be cleaned up. It would add more in the tone when Lefty & Stretch arrive at the Texas Battle Land. As much I love the Joe Bob scene I wouldn't want to see it dubbed.

We had so much fun. For a first time event, it went great. Next time will be even better! We appreciate how each day was so unique. Hopefully next year we get some cereal and cartoons :)
