Good morning!

As I get older, and as this world seems to spin out more, I get a stronger passion to say what I feel and not worry about what people will think.

Jesus was talking to His disciples about what it would be like for them when they went somewhere and they were rejected due to the message they were delivering.

He said to shake the dust off their feet.

This didn’t mean to stomp off and get angry or offended. It meant that they could move on with no unforgiveness towards the people who rejected them. If they didn’t shake the dust off their feet, then they would take the “dust” of that offense into the next place they went.

The message to those who rejected them is:

“Understand this: God’s kingdom realm came within your reach and yet you have rejected God’s invitation!” Luke 10:11b

We aren’t responsible with what people do with what we say. If they are offended or upset, they need to come to terms with that for themselves.

Our job is to show people that God is inviting them into the most incredible ride of their lives! But, He won’t force Himself on anyone. They can reject Him. But we are not to carry that offense with us.

Shake it off!
