Submission & Authority

Submission and Authority seem like two different and opposing things. However, it is actually quite amazing that submitting to God and being willing to go the way He set out for us gives us Authority.
“Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his (Satan’s) kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.” Luke 10: 19 TPT
We don’t act on or in that Authority very much as Jesus’ followers. We mostly act and respond to things like victims. I am learning about this more and more. I am grateful for people like Pastor Jim who acts and teaches on Authority.
Our identity is in Jesus who has full Authority because He conquered Satan already. As some have said, God has Satan on a leash. He is giving people an opportunity to come to Him in the meantime. Eventually, every knee will bow to Jesus.
As we continually submit to Him, may we learn to use the Authority to help people and be conduits of His love. To act like Jesus and not to act like victims.
