Good morning!

When God takes me to the same verse but in different books of the Bible on the same day, I sit up and take notice!

Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

And…..

So it is with your prayers. Ask and you’ll receive. Seek and you’ll discover. Knock on heaven’s door, and it will one day open for you. Every persistent person will receive what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he needs. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. Luke 11:9

Do you feel like you pray and pray and you don’t get the answer or the answer you are hoping for? So often, I do.

The more I realize my shortsightedness, though, the more I realize there are good reasons why I may not get the answer or get the answer I am asking for.

It always boils back down to trust. Do I trust that God will give what I truly need, in the right time and in the right way? Do I trust that God is always good and that He is always for me? Do I trust that maybe through the waiting He is working ALL things for my good?

Take a deep breath. Remember that He is worthy of trust and His ways are always good. Ask, seek, knock….but trust His answers and His timing.
