Revelation Light

Good morning!

A verse I was meditating on made me pause:

From Luke 11:34

The eyes of your spirit allow revelation-light to enter into your being. When your heart is open the light floods in…..Open your heart and consider My words. Watch out that you do not mistake your opinion for revelation-light! If your spirit burns with light, fully illuminated with no trace of darkness, you will be a shining lamp, reflecting rays of truth by the way you live.

Oh how sneaky our own opinions can be! They tend to close down our hearts. As this verse points out, that leads to darkness where light cannot penetrate.

If we want to be reflecting rays of truth in our lives, we have to spend time with the Truth! Otherwise, it is very easy to be deceived or to allow cognitive bias to enter in and create blind spots.

I pray all the time for God’s light to shine into any and all darkness I have in me….He continually reveals things that are dark and need His light! I am truly thankful for that. I pray to have a heart that humbly walks in His light only!
