Been a while! e3e Unlike last time, though, I spent this time of silence working on this exclusively! For the last couple of years I've had this passion project involving Metroid. It's basically an AU having Samus ride the Power Suit instead of wearing it (imagine Ripley at the end of Aliens). The project is mostly for illustration purposes, as well as animation and eventually, hopefully, game design. I've just always been depressed about how Metroid's producers wrote themselves into a creative dead end, so this is a kind of reboot? Guess I can't really call it that if I don't own it, huh. I'll go more in-depth when I upload the design sheets, but mechanical design is inspired by Gurren Lagann's Gunmen and Yoji Shinkawa in general. The insides and inner workings of the Power Suit are still a work in process. Samus' jumpsuit, though, is patched together from Evangelion's plugsuits. In the end, I don't even know how long it took me to finish this picture. The last session working on this last around 14 hours and the PSD bloated in size up to 100+MB(probably mostly due to the picture's sheer size). Sorry if I didn't record this one, I definitely tried. My hardware is getting older every day and I need to buy a new computer! XD Well, sorry for rambling!
