If you missed last week, I wrote about Nehemiah. You may want to revisit that before reading this.
I noted something interesting that made me pause. In Nehemiah 6:10-13, a guy said to Nehemiah that they should go inside the Temple of God and bold the doors shut because Nehemiah’s enemies were coming to kill him that night.
But Nehemiah saw through this guy’s lie.
I would have guessed that hiding in the Temple of God was a safe and good choice, but that isn’t what God had planned and Nehemiah had discernment about that.
Running in fear and not looking to God and His guidance can lead us into traps.
Nehemiah said to him “Should someone in my position run from danger?” ……I realized that God had not spoken to him…..
And so I pray that I would not run in fear but wait for His discernment and direction. Sometimes the safe thing isn’t really safe after all!

2023-08-29 21:29:59 +0000 UTCThat's why Nehemiah was such a Boss! It's one of my favorite books because of the his character of determination in the face of fear. He knew exactly what his mission was and nothing was going to stop him. Kind of like you Sis. Thanks for being a Boss in the kingdom!
