Watching Blizzard: Everybody’s out farming

Oh yes. This week is a magical confluence of events that make it the time to farm reputation in WoW. The World Quest bonus event is live through the 13th, granting extra reputation with every quest completed. On top of that, the Darkmoon Faire is in town, and if you go ride the carousel you'll get an hour-long buff that gives you an extra 10% reputation for any reputation-earning activities you might do. (And if you don't want to run back to the Darkmoon Faire once an hour, you can pick up Darkmoon Top Hats for a mobile reputation buff — they just cost 10 prize tickets each.) So if you're working on grinding rep for anything — did someone say Allied Races? — get out there and do World Quests until you run out of them. I'll see you on the other side of exalted... or madness. Whichever comes first.

And, oh, right, we were here to talk about the day's news, weren't we? Yes, we were.

It's patch day in Heroes of the Storm

Maiev is live along with the Lunar Festival and a host of other patch changes. (Voice Chat, however, is conspicuously absent.)
Of course it would be a Shadow Priest. Mitch takes a look at the hero he wants to see join the Nexus: Talonpriest Ishaal.
And, of course, Tuesday always means a new set of rotations.

All of those card nerfs are now live (bye Corridor Creeper), plus a Year of the Mammoth 30-pack bundle for anyone looking to spend some cash on cards.

Jeff, what's up with these late night developer updates? Year of the Dog is kicking off on Thursday with a new Capture the Flag competitive mode and Capture the Flag map.

ESPN is reporting the rumor that Geguri may be joining the Shanghai Dragons, becoming OWL's first female player. Considering the Dragons' zero-win record to date, they could stand to add a talented tank to the lineup.
