Watching Blizzard: Are we all still leveling?

Dungeon scaling was broken, and now it’s not
- Surprise! Level scaling in dungeons made XP gains kind of wonky, but a new hotfix should help… or maybe hurt. If you were powerleveling with a high level character, scaling was probably giving you ridiculous amounts of experience, while level-appropriate characters weren’t faring so well. Now the amount of XP from mass slaughtering an instance should be more reasonable, and buffed rewards for queuing for random dungeons will give you extra experience for playing at-level dungeons. All in all, it’s a buff for most of us.

- Not a day goes by with more news from the alpha. Today, is rumors that First Aid may be a thing of the past come expansion launch.

- So how set in stone is all of this alpha stuff? Not very, according to @WarcraftDevs on Twitter. The team is experimenting and wants your feedback — but don’t get too attached to (or too upset by) anything we’re seeing in the alpha so far.
Overwatch isn’t the only game with esports
- Overwatch League is coming back next week (with some roster shakeups), the Heroes of the Dorm regionals have begun (but we won’t see games broadcast on Twitch until the national championships at the end of March), HGC always seems to be going on, you can currently sign up for Hearthstone’s Wild Open, and…
- …while I often forget that WoW esports are a thing, you can soon start fighting to qualify for the Mythic Dungeon Invitational. So you’d better start whipping your Mythic+ group into shape.
That’s all for this lazy Thursday, but who knows what tomorrow will bring? (Except a fresh Know Your Lore from Rossi about the Tauren. That one I’m pretty sure about.)
