Why does she not protect her own lands, her source of power? That's incredibly illogical. Not being empathetic toward other people is one thing, but letting villages and towns in her territory burn is shooting herself in the foot. She might be Tacuria's Nero.

2026-02-09 16:13:35 +0000 UTCIt was said that people get their Talents on their 18th nameday. In the Snowflake interlude, it was set 12 years ago, and Freyna just turned 12, so she should be 24. But the duchess refers to her as "newly Talented", so that implies 18. How old is she then?

Might push these significantly further back in a final version of the story. Promise they'll come less frequently going forward! After this one, I don't think I have another planned for at least ten chapters.
