Update 17 Progress

Hey everybody! Made a lot of good progress this week and feeling pretty good about how everything is going.

This last week, I finished up Mrs. Mill's scene. I finished all of Brandi's renders and wrote the chat for one of her scenes. She still has a second scene that I need to write chat for, then I'll be able to mark it off. I finished all of Reba's content, all of Whitney's content, and all of Bai's as well. So, pretty good week! I'll be starting in on Jez's scene today, which is a big one that I expect to take a while (probably at least a full week). 

Anyways, here's the numbers:

I'm a little less sure on this date than I was the last couple weeks. It may end up being a week later on the 12th. 

Final Thoughts

Eventually, I have to admit to myself that I'm moving a little slower than I expected to. I don't think this is a bad thing. I think I was pushing myself too hard the last couple years and it's not really healthy. Now that I've been focusing more on myself - fitness, vacations, actually playing some games - progress has slowed a bit, but I'm much happier as a result. 

So, yeah. I'm going to be going a little slower. I'm still working like 40+ hours a week on the game, but I'll be taking a little more time off every week to focus on myself. I'm going to the gym three times a week. I'm going hiking at least once a week. And I'm playing games that inspire me. And I'd also like to fit in some time for me to spend solely learning new things that will help me in this or future games. 

I still think my pace will be good. I don't think the pace of releases is going to slow down TOO much. Updates might take a couple weeks longer, but not months longer or anything. I'm still planning on having three releases this year. But I need to adjust my predictions a little bit, because it doesn't do a very good job of accounting for time off, and I feel bad about myself when I see myself falling behind of what I expected. 

Anyways, that's about it. I feel good about the progress right now. We're still planning on next release in April. The one after that will probably be like August or something, maybe. Then hopefully another in December. But if I'm not able to hit that, it's okay. I'm going to keep working hard, but also going to shift a little more focus onto keeping myself healthy and happy and inspired.
