While Final Fantasy XV may not have been my GOTY (that goes to Uncharted 4), I had so much fun in the world of Eos. Sure, the story was poorly told at times, and some characters didn’t get enough screen time, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. The interaction between Noctis, Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis was wonderful. Camping with them, cooking with them, riding a car, riding a chocobo. They all drew a smile from me. I loved the photo mechanic too. The combat was great. And the ending was emotional with a good payoff. After the disappointment of XIII, this is a welcome return to form, and gives me hope for the future of Square Enix RPGs. Also a shout-out to the Frame Trap discussion about XV. Loved hearing the Allies opinions on the game.

Hey Allies! My question is in regards to the new Valkyria game. It was awesome to see this announced and that it will be coming stateside. However the game is not the turn based strategy game like the original ones that we got near the beginning of last gen. This isn't the first time something like that has happened. Recent Paper Mario and Metroid (note, i know you guys will call out Prime as a counter-point but at the same time we got that we got Fusion and then Zero Mission right after) games have been this way. And I'm sure there are several other franchises that just aren't coming to mind. The general pattern is we get a new game in a series and it isn't what people wanted from the franchise. And then we're stuck in this lose-lose situation. If we buy this game, the franchise may continue but would be more like this. And if we don't buy this game, the franchise may end up dying. And overall, this situation sucks! Don't really have a question I guess. Just wondering your general thoughts on these types of situations. Love and Respect -Michael
