Retro Game Sessions #3 Voting

So not only will you supposedly see an amazing PlayStation One Classic, but me playing through it in its entirety for the very first time, ever.

Xenogears absolutely I don't mind if you don't stream the second disc since it's mostly story and not much gameplay but definitely play it.

2016-12-24 12:43:27 +0000 UTCIt is a crime that a JRPG lover like you never got to play through Xenogears, please for the love of all allies get it remedied ASAP. Oh and the fact that it has some ironic similarities to XV, a game which Damiani has problems with, is just icing on the cake for me.

It had such a great premise and one of my favorite stories just to have the second disc stunted by a lack of budget. Even despite that it is one of my favorite games of all time.

2016-12-19 19:49:16 +0000 UTCPlease do the work of playing through FFVIII so I don't have to. I looooooved it back in the day, although, even at the time, I acknowledged that the story was a jumbled cluster. Despite that, I still got all choked up at the end. Give it a go!

2016-12-19 16:10:55 +0000 UTCIt's a very tough call but I'd go with Chrono Cross, if only to hear one of the best game OST's of all time by Yasunori Mitsuda if you haven't already. The opening theme, "Time's Scar" remains one of my favorite songs to this day. Word is he's doing the new upcoming Valkyria Chronicles and it might be fun to hear the best of his older work before the new stuff comes out.

Watch out though, it can be very challenging especially in certain Gears fights. * Also, as far as Chrono Cross goes, depending on your setup you may have some kind of issue as the game is one of the few that changes resolution when it switches to the party menu. This causes problems with upscalers like the Framemeister but I also suspect it might mess with the synch while streaming. Could be wrong....
