Persona 5, Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Prey, Edith Finch, Splatoon 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier Automata, AC Origins, Sonic Mania, Mario Rabbids... it was straight bangers the whole way through. Gaming will never be that good again, I'm afraid.

2021-01-01 00:17:35 +0000 UTCThere were so many good games in 2017, so I know choices had to be made about what to talk about, but only mentioning HZD in reference to how much it got compared to Breath of the Wild seems criminal. Aloy's story was one of my favorite gaming experiences of the last few years and the experience of slowly getting good enough as a player to face off against giant metal dinosaurs was incredible. Not to mention the world and creature design was top notch.

I seriously kept thinking it was mine, then I realized I had my Noise Cancelling headphones on and that’s not possible. But awesome show again Ben! Really love these! And can’t wait for 2018! Definitely going to be a fun one!

Would you consider after the last episode (2020 I presume), you could maybe do a special L&R Gen That Was where patrons can submit some big games and news stories you did not have time to cover in the main series?
