WIP Wednesday!
Added 2024-11-06 17:00:10 +0000 UTCWell, lookit that. A work in progress! Almost like it is planned or something. Above, the crude pencils, as scanned into the weird office scanner I am using in the KFDOR TOC (Tactical Operations Center).
And the version that is still penciled but has the initial inks (applied digitally).
Cleaned up and ready for color and detail!
One of the disadvantages of having a small panel with camouflage is that I tend to blast through it and be done before I have really thought about saving some for WIPs.
Details, including some background additions, and shading! Now there's more of a sense of place and depth, in my opinion.
And as a final touch, I set the place: the plane trip from the States to Kosovo. We actually went through Frankfurt airport first, but when you see the whole comic you'll see why I skipped ahead a bit. The airplane is a stock image I made awhile ago for another BOHICA Blues comic; I figure, "why reinvent the wheel?" and I just slap it in here again.
