I mean... it's kinda cool. And necessary. And a good mortuary manager can make or break a family's experience. I hope since that time she has either had a chance to find some fulfilment before branching over into something else... or better yet, learned to get in touch with her inner Goth girl.

So we're all sitting there as the captain reads out the MOS (AFSC, for the Air Force, which we were) for each cadet. Everyone is happy or disappointed as appropriate. Then he gives Cadet C her code. It's not one she asked for. Nobody knows it, even the captain. So he sends her upstairs to look it up. We're all curious. We were wondering "What the heck is the Air Force going to do with a Harvard Philosophy major?" She returns and stands in the door with a stricken look on her face. Captain: "Well?" Cadet C: "Mortuary management." Everybody except her thought it was a good slot for a philosopy major.
