Math is... fun?
Added 2020-05-29 20:03:12 +0000 UTCOk, so i was a part of a zoom with patreon today and found out more about taxes and they suggest I poll each tier to see what you value most and what % you value each. The reason is, some things are more taxable than others.
For example, physical rewards are fully taxable, digital is only partially taxable, and general support is not taxable.
For the sake of round number, Let’s say your tax rate is 10% and youre donation is 10 Dollars. Now let’s say If you think general support is 50% of the reason you signed up, digital exclusives are 25% and 25% is physical.
The tax you would pay would only be 5% or less. Every state and country had different laws on digital content taxes so I can’t be sure but that’s a rough estimate.
