Our Life: Bedroom BG (Baxter DLC - Step 3)

This is certainly not his style at that age, but he won't complain. It's someone else's place that he's lucky enough to stay in for a vacation. He's simply glad to be there, and he'd be happy for the company if the MC comes over to see it 💕

2022-06-08 00:49:05 +0000 UTCOne thing I've noticed with the OL artwork is the great use of lighting changes. These two illustrations feel so different when even the only change between them is the times of day. The warm lighting and different shadows cast in the evening scene is beautiful.

2022-06-07 22:35:36 +0000 UTCOn baxter’s special dance scene in the wedding dlc, I can’t help but think that is such a selfish young adult mindset to project your feelings onto other people, even in a self-deprecating way. Anxiety, even when you’re wishing people will hang out with you but assume they won’t, is inherently selfish because it’s a biological defence mechanism. You feel guilt and rejection because homo-sapiens evolved to feel emotional pain to avoid being alienated from the pack. It’s really not Qiu, OL2 MC or OL1 MC’s fault that they didn’t return his feelings, but he assumes it must be some problem with him that things didn’t work out how he wanted. You better experience some healthy growth and value yourself more, dummy! There’s no way i’m not romancing you when your DLC comes out!

Especially with the recent revelation that Baxter has had two unrequited loves - Qiu was his first love (potentially stolen away by the OL2 MC) and then the OL MC (potentially stolen away by Cove/Derek) I don't blame the poor guy for feeling like he can't win.
