Added 2022-06-10 18:16:10 +0000 UTCWow, it's another OL2 beta update already! We really kept busy in May and were able to pull things together for this. I don't imagine we'll have this frequent of an update schedule again for quite a while, aha. But we can enjoy it while we can. The new scenes in this beta are very cute and the overall experience has continued to improve.
New Content:
- 13,000 words of new scenes
- More MC doll options
- A background showing the upstairs of the MC's house
- Two new music tracks to hear and unlock in the Music Room
I've gotta say, I'm quite happy with the way it's going. I feel like we've definitely improved on the first game in terms of making the player feel like they're a part of the world and interacting with it. I hope everyone who tries it enjoys the experience 😄
[Also, those little bookmark side sprites are always so cute. I think they really work in the framing of the game]

It really is a whole different level of immersion into the story that definitely draws all of us here to experience it and enjoy it! Gotta appreciate and send love for all the hard work put into the OL series! There truly is nothing like them out there!

Also, writing with a gel pen - brought back lots of memories, ha. Thank you for all your hard work on this game. I'm not one to replay games differently, but I feel compelled when there's so many little details. I especially love how my shy, terrified and near-mute MC has such a sweet friendship with Tama and Qiu already. Makes me want to play a more outgoing or laidback kid to see how different it feels!

From your name being called depending on what letter of the alphabet your first letter is to the little detail of character customization! I imagined my character being very artsy and curious, so as a result they tend to get cuts when they are careless- AND QIU WAS WORRIED ABOUT THEM!!! OMG I ALMOST CRIED IT WAS TOO CUTE!!!

2022-06-13 00:04:24 +0000 UTCI deleted the first build of the beta before downloading the new one, and started a new save from scratch and didn't have any issues. When I tried to use my old saves the build crashed. If you don't want to start over from the beginning, maybe someone else will have a fix, but that's what worked for me.

I can relate if you didn't have that experience; my parents were very anxious. There are also certain fiction tropes that take place during school that could be fun to experience, like field trips or dodgeball games during P.E.

I got the feeling that if this game follows the same kind of flow as the first one, that we will soon be wrapping up the interactive part (having finished our first day at school) and then be moving on to the part that tells us how life moves on for the rest of that stage, before getting to the moment select screens (of course I know nothing says thats how this has to / will go either, just following my thoughts...) And then I got to wondering when the moments in this game will play out, time frame wise. In the first game its always during summer break, which makes sense as it naturally lends its self to alot of free time for us to interact with each other in different venues. But there really isnt alot of free time from school in the fall. Not more than a few days in a row unless you move on to winter break (and that itself is usually only 2 - 3 weeks at best) Not expecting spoilers / answers here. Just sharing my wool gathering and curiosity =)

2022-06-12 01:43:27 +0000 UTCThere are alterations for that already! If you're worried or if you're mad the MC will react appropriately. But you don't get them if you choose to be optimistic after the two try to cheer you up on the walk. The MC will instead try to look at it more positively.

2022-06-11 22:52:12 +0000 UTCWhen Mrs. Murray is reading roll call, if your character's name is towards the front of the alphabet, they automatically think that is kinda cool because they get to be first. But my character was really anxious about her first day at a new school, and about being introduced to the rest of the class, so it didn't really make much sense for her to be happy about her name coming up first. I wish there was a different option there that takes into account whether or not your character has expressed anxiety or not about school.

I have epilepsy, and I've been going through a though time, both with rehabilitation (physiotherapy etc) seizures, medication. ..well today was a bad day and I LITERALLY thought "wow an OL2 update would be great right now" and when it happened I was so happy I forgot about all these things...so .. Thanks, you are amazing ☺️

Don’t know if it is happening with the other builds but just thought to let you know. Otherwise I am so far having no problems with the beta (I am still currently playing it).
