Should I jump straight to the character editor?

The profile editor, in its current condition, is somewhat pathetic. I designed it in this manner since I anticipated it would include approximately a dozen fields. That, however, was not the case. I'd like to know whether you believe it's worthwhile for me to invest time building a new profile editor. It'll be similar to a character editor, with values ranging from 0 to 100, and I'll be able to utilize this profile/character editor in single-interview mode.

My primary concern is the time commitment, which is likely a month or perhaps more. The other concern is that save games from previous versions would become obsolete.

All of the arguments in the comments are fair. 😩

Hell, honestly, multiple save option might be a higher priority.

I'm thinking you make it a completely separate play mode. Single interview with custom attributes in Character Editor, career with the current build-up model.

i would prefer to have a proper character editor for the same reasons Lamp made. However character editor could be just for the profiles alone so it wont compromise the gameplay. Then later down the roadmap there could be a way to unlock a character editor/creator through gameplay, for a example: getting to level 5 or finishing game or a unlock like plastic surgery through story mode (don't know the name of the main game mode)

I agree, fast forwarding straight to the best looking girls with the best attributes takes away from the core gameplay.

IMO continue with content for the game , people are already using monkey mod as a character editor , even though it defeats the whole core of the gameplay

One thing that would make the existing system better is the ability to zoom in on the face, and rotate the model. Kinda hard to see the finer details. I can assume a revamp of the editor would include this feature. Regardless, if remaking the editor is in the long term plans, and it would brick all of the old save data, might as well do it now instead of later.

Depends, a full character creator, seems to co-opt the idea of the game (generational models). Each new model generated is a surprise of sorts and that's part of the core charm which myself in. However, if it's more a refinement on the current auto-ratings profile system already implemented, as in, it helps auto-rate models, I don't see much damage being done.

Do what you need to do. If you want a quality game, these things will happen.

NeverEnoughHats

That is logical.
