Bali quest 1.0

Finally! It's finished! You can play online on:

http://reddypics.com/quest/

Or you can play offline by executing the index.html file. You must keep the image folder in the same directory. Just unzip and play:

Please, please tell me about your experience with it. It was fun? Too short? Too long? Too much text?

There are some things I wanted to implement but my lack of skill on HTML5 canvas messed my plans. But I am studying, I will have these things figured out soon!

Now, the next project! I will talk about it tomorrow. My aim is to build a working prototype with placeholders on next week, I must know if I can develop the Muscle fantasy project properly and the prototype will answer that. I will talk more about it tomorrow!

Thanks! Yes, a futa version wouldn't be a bad idea.

That's what i am trying to do, a interactive comic with touchs of RPG. I am getting there.

My beloved girl has now got her solo play. It looks pretty good. This approach would fit not only a raging game but also interactive comics. Looks perfect

The best girl gets an entire game project worthy of her awesomeness! Needless to say, I loved it! XD Easily one of my favourite things of yours you've ever done. Just super, super awesome from beginning to end. Not too short, not too long (in this case, would that even be possible? XP ), tons of amazing artwork and funny writing and a bunch of great effects to make an already awesome experience even more awesomer! I would agree with an earlier comment that sometimes the text (mostly the green text) can sometimes be a bit hard to make out, but that'd be about my only issue, and it's a pretty minor one. Overall I found this whole thing to be as excellent as Bali's muscles are huge and purple! XD Fantastic job with this Reddy, you really did an amazing job with this! Thanks a ton for doing it!

Got it! I will build a revision!

Yep, the interaction is null on this project. It works better as a novel. And yes, a back button would help. About the green overlay, YES. That aspect needs to be improved.

ReddyHeart

Good points! HTML5 doesn't handle well text outlines. Maybe making a black background behind the text will help. I will work on that.

Great art! I had lotsa fun browsing through. A back button would be nice to enjoy better some scenes. Thanks!

It's a bit weird. As a comic, it's excellent. The art is top-notch, as always, and the little animated touches (like shifting perspective, or screen shaking) really add to the experience. But as an interactive piece of media, it's kind of bad. With no choices to make and with only the barest player input required to proceed, the "interactive parts" are essentially just "flip the page with extra steps", and it can get really annoying when the green overlay is not where you expect it to be (like against the three geths in the desert, where you have to click on Bali's hands instead of the ennemy to continue, unlike every other fight in the game). This is compounded by the lack of back button, which makes going through the story on subsequent readings a pain.

Honestly? Pretty damn good overall! Did leave me hungry for more but that's kind of the point. ;) I do hope you intend to continue this in future! A few minor 'spit/polish' points: - The joke about 'Can 2020 get any worse?' now sounds a bit dated. I think rather than having a reference to an actual year, maybe phrase it as a take that against the source material's downfall or Bioware? Heck maybe toss in another insult to the player for causing her to be blown up (I did quite like that bit of meta commentary). - Text is still hard to read in few areas. Biggest issues are where Bali storms the Goth HQ and the white smoke everywhere causes the likewise white text to be obscured. The light green text for the click prompts is also a bit hard to read against the bright yellow background when she first arrives on planet. Just maybe make both a slightly darker color, or add a shadow behind them or something would fix it.
