Initial drafts for Dirk
Added 2022-03-12 23:02:41 +0000 UTCWhen I design a character, sometimes I start kind of realistic, and then I exaggerate or soften certain features to get a nice balance between cartoony expressiveness and realism as you can see in the final illustrations of Dirk and other characters. Iยดm not really into exhaustive figure sheets full of precise proportions; I always try to keep a solid anatomy foundation, but without limiting my imagination and spontaneity.
I take the occasion to remind you that next week I will be posting the extra illustration for chapter one of "Dirkยดs new debut" (according to the result of the poll) and its second chapter!
