Oh aren't they just!! This aspect of the series is amazing! That's a very interesting point you raise! I do wonder that also. I'd really like to say yes, but you just don't know with this series.

I've often found that I have had this conflict with a lot of the characters in the series, where my brain wants to categorize a character as either a "good guy" or "bad guy," but that's the complete wrong way to look at it with this series. I love the layers, the real human aspect of it, where a person's first impression is completely altered over time via actions, backstories, or intent. It's really well done!

2025-08-11 07:01:06 +0000 UTCLayers. You guys touched on it. One of the things that make this story so interesting is that it builds upon complex, flawed and layered characters. Like real people, very few are all good or all bad. Like most of us, they are all somewhere in-between. Take Jaime, he is introduced as an arrogant a-hole who murdered his king, is f***ing his sister, pushed a ten year old off a window, and now, we all find ourselves rooting for him. π€
