Saw Chain Grinder!

Still learning, but figured this might be good excuse as any to chat!

I’ve had to use these an awful lot over the years while being the mechanic at a landscaping company. You can absolutely get a sharp chain, but the life of the chain is significantly reduced over hand-filing, and they tend to need to come back in a lot. I ended up switching to using a Dremel chainsaw grinding tool at the Christmas tree stand because it did as good of a job as the chainsaw grinder but was a million times faster and was as precise as a file if I wanted it to be.

2023-05-14 15:49:31 +0000 UTCI only used an battery extended chainsaw but haven't sharpened it yet. Regardless, always love your videos. I did install crown molding. My engineering son and me couldn't figure out the angle for life of us. We were always off by so much we were hysterical with laughter. An expert then showed me how to cut it without needing any special angles. It was easy. Please keep up the great videos. Would love to see some about your 3D printer experiences. Thanks for the entertainment.
