AND THAT CONCLUDES...BLUE LOCK, SHANGRI LA FRONTIER & DEMON LORD 2099 (Thoughts)

Starting with Blue Lock's finale (I'm going to say two-episode special finale since 13 and 14 were basically one long finale)...WE FINALLY GET SOME FLUID RUNNING ANIMATION (LOL) and holy was it ever GOOD! I would have loved seeing that type of quality all throughout the season, but having that in the finale made it that much more intense. When the final goal was scored I legit got CHILLS... the intensity of emotions, the visuals, the SFX, the music, the chanting EVERYTHING was so so sooooo good. Even afterward I felt so hyped up with how elated the entire stadium was and with those closing remarks by Isagi. It really made you appreciate just how great sports anime can be!

Shangri La Frontier ended cour 1 with a crazy battle in the works leaving us to anticipate what will come of it. I always enjoy seeing what Hizutome (Sunraku) can strategize on the spot during battles against a game boss, and now that he's teamed up with Psyger-0 he's got another person to think about! We missed Emul in these last few eps, but it seems she has her hands full with someone else back home haha. This anime isn't my FAVOURITE, but it can still be quite funny and entertaining while watched with friends. I leave it for my watch parties so I can force myself to watch the eps, otherwise I wouldn't on my own (oops)

Demon Lord 2099 ended on a rather high note but also a decent set up for a second season. Though, when that second season will be...who knows! We currently don't have enough source material to continue the animation BUTTTT from what we got this first season, it was nice! It seems a lot of people enjoyed this one too, but for me, it was the OST, visuals, gamer humour, the MC's ego and cyberpunk setting that kept me interested. The team up in this finale episode was SO GOOD and I thought the final battle was really well done...but a lil short lived...but despite that and having their current issue resolved, the ending gave us some good humour to remember this anime on a positive note.
