Lance is only secondarily the head of the princely guard, first of all - he is a representative of unicorns. In human form, he was all his life, not meeting a single unicorn on the way, so Lance learned to skillfully hide his smell, size and brutal appetites.
I also wanted to work on the very concept of unicorns in the Knots setting. They are from 2 meters to 5 meters in size, carnivorous, but more often omnivores. They got used to hiding among people and finding a mate there, if not for life, then at least for ten years. Unicorns have an incredible flair, not only associated with smells, they perfectly feel the state of the threads of being in front of them, and strive to protect the most "pure" and innocent, even if they were not asked about it.

Ланс - только во вторую очередь глава княжеской стражи, в первую очередь - он представитель единорогов. В человеческом обличии он находился всю свою жизнь, не встретив на пути ни одного единорога, поэтому Ланс научился мастерски скрывать свой запах, размеры и зверские аппетиты.
Так же я хотела поработать над самим концептом единорогов в сеттинге Узлов. Размером они от 2 метров до 5 метров, плотоядные, но чаще всеядные. Привыкли скрываться среди людей и находить себе там пару если не на всю жизнь, то хотя бы на десять лет. У единорогов невероятное чутье, не только связанное с запахами, они прекрасно чувствуют состояние нитей существа перед ними, и стремятся оберегать самых «чистых» и невинных, даже если их об этом не просили.
