Animal Whisperer
Animals can understand your speech, and you intuitively understand the meaning of their body language and vocalizations. You can telepathically communicate with any animal within a number of feet of you equal to 40 + twice your Animal Husbandry skill level.
Any animal that would be unfriendly to you when you first meet is instead indifferent.
Joust
While riding an animal, you can modify your attacks with your Animal Husbandry skill level in addition to any other modifiers (such as Blades or Marksmanship), and whenever you hit with an attack against a target smaller than your mount, the target is knocked prone, or takes double damage if they are already prone.
Additionally, any animal you are riding gains a bonus to all defenses equal to your Animal Husbandry skill level.
Best in Show
As a 1-year activity, you can train an allied animal so that they receive a number of bonus attribute points equal to your Animal Husbandry skill level. They may choose how to spend these points, but will strongly consider your training and instruction in their choice. The animal can only receive this benefit once.
If you have already performed this activity on an allied animal, whenever you gain any number of skill levels in Animal Husbandry, they gain that many attribute points.

Not really sure how animal handling works, and Best in the show seems like it gives them a functional, if kinda shitty, leveling system. Sure, it would need you to have it at level 96 to have any pet at level 12, but you could probably get another skill evolution to make that a bit better.
