Delay and desperation
Added 2020-05-17 11:34:27 +0000 UTCAs one of the members of the new consortium consisting of Zuvic, Star Corp, Service Capital and KTS. KTS signed up to a new joint weapons venture which sees all of the companies adopting the new standard issue rifle from Zuvic - the ZK-11. No one has trialled the weapon, seen it or even been given the specs yet, but they trusted Zuvic to have it delivered on time.............which it is not. In fact the ZK-11 is many months behind schedule and now KTS is running low on operable weapons.
Since discontinuing the BDR parts and ammunition have been difficult to come by for other companies operating with that system.
Black Faction moved to secure their arms supply by developing their own system, the SBR.
Caterina Private Defense has also expressed an interest in procuring the ZK-11 from Zuvic and retiring the BDR.
In the meantime however KTS has few operating units of the BDR they purchased from Zuvic just a few months back and is now desperate to get their hands on any system possible.
KTS has now resorted to taking SBR's from downed Black Faction units, since Black Faction would never sell them weapons.
KTS has been respraying the SBR's from Black to a Camo Green and refurbishing magazines to take their standard ammo, painting modified magazines blue to show they are fit for use.
KTS is off to a rough start operating in the zone, do you think the new weapons system will assist them?
