CPD Unit
Added 2021-04-10 06:39:55 +0000 UTCThis CPD unit joined at age 20 with the signing of a 6 year contract term. Originally attempting to join Black Faction the year previous, she got cold feet & decided against it.
Her re-joining attempt with Black Faction seen an automated rejection however she could have spoken to a recruiter to over ride it.
CPD then pursued her to join after collecting data. More often than not, this is how CPD recruits.
CPD is the smaller company however they do focus on professionalism in their units more so than Black Faction, who relies heavily on numbers.
to make up for the smaller numbers, it is essential for CPD to have a positive expenditure ratio. This number is something Caterina is obsessed with.
For every unit she invests into the skirmish (her language for expending) she must liquidate 1.25 enemy units.
For every 8 she loses, she wants 10 Black Faction units taken out.
It is important to note that this does not apply to the lifecycle of the unit, ie the total contract time but rather the assigned task.
Assigned tasks have a number of units allocated deemed to be sufficient to carry out the task.
AT group proceeds to the Contact Location to Task.
Task may be engagement, Azologoth or guarding.
If the group engages in a Skirm, then it is expected that the group eliminate to the ratio of 1.25 to 1.
Investing units is expected so long as the return is positive.
ORC with CPD is slightly different, as there are some emotional characteristics left & intensified.
A theme constantly fed into the minds of Caterinas units is "Caterina's Vision" for a single operator in the Zone & an end to Black Factions aggression.
Caterina is held in esteem like a queen as opposed to the mysterious Mistress of Black Faction who is appearing to step back to have Vanessa be the front.
Certain behaviours are then rationalised by the determination "This is for Caterina"
This could be sacrificing themselves for a particular goal or attacking a strong point or anything that would otherwise seem insane -
So after a number of years fighting for Caterina this unit has decided she will be leaving, CPD has no active program to expend units who wish to leave, rather a very lucrative offering to have them back after they leave. Which alot take.
Over her 6 years she had participate in what was classed as low intensity Skirmishes, 2 medium sized Skirmishes & she caught the tail end of a single Mass battle involving over 100 units each side.
She had clocked up 18 eliminations in the however with 11 being Black Faction Sublets who had ran out of ammunition at the tail end of the Mass Battle. The bonus figure for those eliminations was halved as the units were considered inactive.
Far from innocent or a bystander, she had sent many into the long black but also was present for the investment of some 14 of her own fellow units.
Her last posting was to a distant outpost where some active azologoth hunts were to be undertaken by other parties. She had been assigned to an active response AT group.
