The video package, the history, the build, everything. 25 years of story, and the finish of that ‘one last time’ feud with decades of history was done with a running gag. Cena can cheat to win, that’s fine, but Truth coming out to continue this recurring bit in a match with this much behind it, really bothered me. It felt like a kick in the dick for my investment in a match for a definitive conclusion. There’s a million other ways they could’ve set up the Truth/Cena match, they didn’t have to have it interfere with the significance of the Randy/Cena match.
