Started reading the book and enjoying it a lot. Also, having so much fun with her channel. Have loved vampire lit, movies, shows since my 17 year old self discovered Anne Rice. Flipping through her channel was like โ€œyep, read that one, saw that one... loved that series... almost forgot about that one... ooh, wonder what she had to say about that one... how have I never gotten around to watching that?โ€ Lots of fun and nostalgia ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for bringing her to our attention ๐Ÿ™‚

Great review, thank you :-) On the note of asexual protagonists, the Arcane Ascension series by Andrew Rowe has a protagonist who is ace and though it's not a driving force of the story, it's important to the character and is present throughout the books. This author's books as a whole are full of MOGAI/ LGBTQIA+ characters. https://amzn.to/2ILtz8k

Could you do a book review of Awoken by "Serra Elinsen"? :D

You guys' community spirit is so heartwarming. I love it. Off to purchase! (Sold by the Pratchett ref. It's beyond my control.)

Great, now I have another book on my to-read list (as if I needed anymore of those) because you kinda sold me. The title and the cover put me off at first because I'm really not into zombies (or vampires, since I feel they have also been slightly overdone), really not into apocalypse and dystopia and all that stuff, and really not into gore - but all the positive stuff you've mentioned really makes me want to read this book :)

Comes down to the same thing. :)

I think you meant bias instead of baggage

Sounds interesting to me

She went through a publisher as far as I'm aware.

Sounds like an interesting book, though I'm with you - zombies are so overdone. (Even though I have my own idea for a pro-vaccine zombie apocalypse comedy-horror. Too bad I can't write.) Is it self published? If not then maybe we can add it to the library system I work for.
