Naturalis v1.3-alpha5 (57.var)
Added 2023-12-30 15:55:19 +0000 UTCSummary
This update improves how pressure is calculated, making it more natural and automatically adapt to the amount of Fat Spring. It fixes an issue with the glute soft physics not updating when adjusting the soft physics parameters, along with some minor/cosmetic issues.
Full notes
Improvements to the pressure implementation:
- Improved the way pressure is calculated from joint depth using a cubic relationship between depth of a joint and the amount of force it contributes. This produces a more natural amount of expansion per lost volume than the previous S-curve that was used to translate depth to force.
- The amount of pressure force on any given joint now automatically adapts to the fat spring value of that joint. The pressure now compensates for lost volume in exactly the same amount regardless of softness, fat spring offset, amount of change in fat spring due to Depth Physics or Local Distortion Physics, etc.
Fixes:
- the glute soft physics mesh did not update when adjusting a parameter's offset or gradient sliders (introduced in alpha 4)
- clicking Reload Items in the Clothing tab caused currently enabled items to disappear from the dropdown (introduced in alpha 4)
- mesh pressure applied twice in the same physics update when adjusting soft physics parameter offsets
- soft physics parameter buttons did not show the asterisk (*) if the parameter's offset had been modified (introduced in alpha 4)
