I feel like Ianto and Owen develop a lot as characters throughout the show.

It is easy for me (and many other commenters, I'm sure) to get mildly upset and think things like 'how can you not like him/her?' But then I realise that I've experienced four series of TV Torchwood, listened to a lot of audio plays, even read some of the books, but it's just your seventh episode! Of couse, you think that Owen is a dick, because he is at the moment, no doubt there. (it is definitely more fun that way, because we get to see why he is the way he is, if he's capable of changing, etc.) Of course, you don't trust Ianto. He did betray his team to try to save the woman he loved. And now, since she's gone, all his loyalty belongs to the team. As you saw in the last episode he helped Tosh get away. And in this one. Anyway, I was trying to say, that the fun of reactions is to hear your opinions on the show. (I need to get on twitter and learn how to comment in minimal amount of symbols.)

2017-11-24 10:53:31 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say they're wanting us to root for Gwen and Owen. It's kind of like Game of Thrones that way. Most people are not totally good or bad. Most situations aren't totally good or bad. It's just...life. You don't cheer them on, but you kind of understand them.
