I think that Jax need a new partner to become firestorm. If you noticed during the crossover they named dropped Ronnie like 20 times 9 ( I wasn't counting it just seemed like a lot). So I think that maybe either next episode or a couple episodes from now we will go to the future and have adult Ronnie become the other half of fire storm.

Victor Garber has a guest role on The Orville, and it has been cool seeing him show up for a minute or two every few episodes. Now I will have to get my entire Victor Garber fix from there. He has been a favorite of mine since his days on Alias. RIP Stein.

I half think they'll assume Firestorm is gone but than Jax will come to the rescue as Firestorm when they need help the most.

Cisco and Harry did tell Martin and jax that if they used the serum it would sever the connection and both would have no powers. So it's probably the end for firestorm

I voted for a new partner, but my suspicion is that Firestorm is gone. In storytelling terms he's too powerful, and in production terms he's too expensive. Notice how little we see steel Steel.

I think in a way Jax is Firestorm but he has grown as man over time too where he doesnt need a guide. I dont know of anyone that could work unless we get a new character not bound as a current hero.

With the idea of the multiverse, we could always get an alternate Ronnie to come in or something. It’s always a possibility, given the universe (or universes) the shows are set in.

i honestly don't know I think Firestorm is gone but a long the lines of earth one's is gone thier will be one on another earth. jax can't become firestorm because firestorm right now is (forgive term) a toy with a voice box and the batteries gone can't work. not unless they some replacates stines power and put in jax but then he could stuck as that.

I think he's gone forever. Legends barely used him or split up Martin and Jax. I think they will use Jax as mechanic mostly now

Out of all the iterations in the comics, I doubt the showrunners would stop after only two, one of which wasn't even in the comics. There are plenty of potential Firestorms out there. Get Lorraine Reilly or Gehenna. Imagine all of the jokes about a girl being inside Jax for a change. Hilarious!

With all the effort they went through to try and make Jax a solo firestorm, I really want that to work out. Maybe not immediately, but perhaps closer to the end of the season. I just don’t know how I would feel without firestorm, or with someone else filling Steins shoes.

the quark spheres caused the firestorm matrix to self destruct. In order for Jax to become firestorm again he would need a new matrix and a new partner and the quark spheres removed.

Future baby Ronnie will show up as this nerd and Jax will team up with him, but I hope that this will wait till the end of the season or in season 4. I wanna see Jax more fleshed out as an individual character first
