Arrow 6x9 Poll!

Which side of the Team Arrow split do you agree most with?

Comments

Oliver is acting more like a douche then a leader, I agree with the new guys instead of just asking them he spied on them

The Jarl

I'm just sad because that was a letdown for a mid-season finale episode

Abhi Gudivada

Oliver has no right to hold the high horse on this one, after all the similar things he did concerning the team surrounding William. However, considering the Evelyn situation, i do see why they would be wary of the newbies

I think that both sides have their rights and wrongs. Rene did screw up but he had a valid reason. He basically did what lance did back in season 4. Also in this line if work especially with Oliver trust is important.

Tin Phan

Isn't Dinah doing the exact same thing that Evelyn did; minus the same motives. If I was Ollie, I'd be upset too. Dinah's also a bit of a hothead at times, Renee is very impulsive, and Curtis is known to give things up if he feels its the right move. I don't think any of them were out of character; more like in too much of their character. :/

Laugh Data

Original team arrow have gone through so much of course they would be pissed if someone betrayed

Jamie Smith

Olli just trusted Deathstroke, when he really shouldn't. At the end of last season and this season aswell. What Dina was doing doesn't justify that reaction of Oliver. Even Renee should still be more trustworthy than Deathstroke, although he is testifying against him. And still he did trust Deathstroke this season. This Episode I felt a lot of people were doing stuff that's out of character for them, just to create tension. I'm with the Newbies.

Red Claw

I think both sides have good points - Oliver and Felicity and Diggle should have just confronted them all - but wild dog betraying the team def deserves to be kicked off

Linia Nicholls

While I can completely agree with the new guys, I still think that should be more sympathetic with Oliver who's been through the most trust wise, It's almost like everyone throws him under the bus at some point

2004 verison*

CAn you guys react to Battlestar Galactica that is my favourite SCI FI SHOW EVER (2008 version) not the old 60's version or was it 40's i dont know lol but yea watch it please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way Aaron, that's not why Rene didn't get his daughter. He was kidnapped by Prometheus, so he wasn't able to make it to the meeting for his daughter.

Ian Vega

I think Oliver is the most to blame because he ignored the most important step in sniffing out a mole: Treat everyone as a suspect. All Lance said was that it was someone on the team, and Oliver immediately ruled out Diggle and Felicity when he should have investigated them too.

Kay Scruton

Neither side was right, but I feel the original three are more wrong. They drew a line that divided them from the new people, when they should have investigated everyone to be fair. They never even suspected Diggle or Felicity, but they should have eliminated every potential suspect. Trust but verify.

Darth Skhorrn

I'm split, much like the poll is as I type this. You can't really openly tell the team that one of them is a traitor, because if you do the traitor could just plot around that, also it sows doubt. Granted I don't approve of them spying on the new guys either. Ya gotta trust more, Ollie.

Dark Aeolus

Even though Wild Dog's betrayal is tough for Oliver, I see the new team's reason for splitting more. Oliver should not have been spying on them, but instead talked to the team

Tucker Lobner

I totally see Oliver's side, he is clearly still dealing with Evelyn's betrayal last season plus the fact that Oliver has trust issues and always had, so hearing about another one drove him to an extreme. But at the same time I see the other side's issue too, Oliver went a bit too far and still ended up accusing the wrong person

Ryan Witalison

I think kicking wild dog off team bad move

Matthew

I'm on team Diggle.

I Am Groot

I choose both. I agree that it was wrong for Rene to agree to testify but he was also put in an impossible situation. His daughter or a friend who is helping to get his daughter back. But it was also wrong for OG team arrow to go behind the backs of the team and spy on the new members without considering the original members. I honestly think of all four shows this one, which has always been my favorite show, did the worst on the mid season finale. Super girl put Kara’s life on the line, flash took Barry and directly paralleled him to his childhood trauma, legends killed off an amazing character and had another leave bringing back a different, hilarious version of a missed character. While arrow’s mid season finale was not bad it did not go to such drastic lengths the other shows did. Putting lives on literal death row or turning the show back to the first season. Arrow has only seemed to further the story of how Oliver will need to find a way to get out of jail. I have not read any of the comics so I do not know if this is a story from the comics or an original story, but from what I can tell there will be some tipping point that will bring Oliver to either reveal himself or have to set in motion a way to kill the FBI investor or turn her. It seems to be the only way to save his identity. And the fact that she has been able to figure all this out while no one else can only proves that drastic measures will be needed to stop her. Last season when the reporter did some digging and found the picture of Oliver in the Russian bar while he was supposed to be on the island has never come back up. I don’t know if the writers think we have forgotten or are trying to make it a shock piece of evidence for the trial, it has not been seen for a while.

Allison

Rene was totally in the wrong in the beginning, but from then on, original team arrow were acting like butts

Greg Alan

Both of them are in the wrong. This is why Oliver can't be Green Arrow. He may be the best fighter, but Diggle is a better leader.

Nathan Mortenson

There has definitely been a ton of character development on these characters not sure what you are talking about.

Kevin Echeverria

Original team arrow is just Ollie, diggle and felicity. Laurel and Thea were not part of that.

Kevin Echeverria

Honestly they both could've handled it better. I understand that Oliver doesn't want another Artemis situation but like that one he didn't talk it out or even really try to figure things out with her. As for the new guys I would be pissed too. But isn't that what Oliver does they should know by now how he does things and expect it. Of course he is only going to monitor the new team because he created the arrow team with Diggle and Felicity he trusts them and you know how long it took for him to do that awhile.

Sparkysin

Oliver should have confronted the team instead of spying on.

Mary Poppins Y'all

New guys. Oliver was a jerk and Dinah is hot.

Lonahora

the new guys. but, both sides are being extremly stupid.

Overall I think this was a contrived plot point that could have easily been solved if anyone in the group simply communicated with each other. Nobody came out of this looking good. I don’t like how quickly Oliver doubted everyone on his team because that seems like old Ollie, not the one that formed this new team to begin with. I also didn’t like Diggle defending Dinah then doing a 180 and taking Oliver’s side. I guess if I have to choose then I’m on the newbie’s side, even though Renee was wrong to betray Oliver.

Able

I think both sides were wrong in this. Oliver should've just talked to them. But Dinah could've just talked to them about vigilante and she didn't. And Rene should've told them about Watson and he didn't. Curtis planted a GPS tracker on felicity with helix last year, so how's that really different?

Brandi H

I understand where the newbies are coming from. But I'm also thinking just call up Ragman, get Thea a little physical therapy and get Roy to come to town incognito for a bit and Team Arrow would still be ok without the newbies *shrugs*

Brandi H

I voted for the new guys because Eric is always right! More importantly, Aaron is always wrong!

Jack McKenzie

I just want more character development with them. I was hopeful they would do that with Dinah but after Vigilante reveal we haven’t got much of her back story still. I think the writers are trying but just poor execution for me so far with secondary characters backstories.

Andrew Courtney

I agree with the new guys. I understand the original teams perspective and reasons for what they did, but I think it would have gone over better if Oliver had just been upfront and direct with the team. Rene was doing it for his kid and probably would have admitted if asked, though he should have gone to Oliver as well.

Dylan Carpenter

Ive not liked New Team Arrow since They couldnt use Ragman properly and lost that character. Original Team Arrow is and will always be the best cause had Laurel, Roy, Olleys sister and Diggle and Felcitiy.
