Yeah, Deke's been under the thumb of the Kree his whole life. He's probably witnessed previous attempts at rebellion that ended badly and possibly made things worse for the humans living there. I don't blame him for being hesitant to get swept up in another one.

He might be a dick personality wise but that doesn't mean he's a badguy, he clearly wants the Kree gone as much as anyone else

He’s obviously playing the long game, which is why he said he was playing the long game to Daisy as a reference to earlier when he said they should play the long game to get what she wants, as the long game was the better path than blasting her way through and endangering innocent lives because she wasn’t playing the long game. He is trying to keep the team safe. He knew that Daisy running off like that would get her caught and compromise the team, so by turning her in he can at least partially control the narrative.

I think Deke is sincerely selling Daisy out. But he will be just as sincere in his desire to help her at some point in the future when circumstances change and they find themselves against some common enemy.

Deke has a plan for sure...but he may also genuinely believe that Daisy is the Destroyer of Worlds, and does not have Daisy's safety and interests in mind.

Deke is helping I think. By selling Daisy out he both made her the sole party responsible for attacking the Kree, so no blow back on the rest of the humans on the Lighthouse and has gotten Daisy closer to Simmons. Deke is a jerk, but his fears have merit and playing the long game is more effective than charging in and quaking it up.

This is all a part pf a plan. Daisy and her rashness are out of his way so he can finesse freely AND he got her closer to her objective (Simmons) And she hasn't even realized it yet. If daisy becomes a gladiator and gets hurt she might get to have chats with Jemma. This is Calculated. For sure.
