2024-09-04 02:31:15 +0000 UTCThanks for the detailed analysis! These are all songs from the Japanese side of BoA's discography--this set in particular was part of her '08 Japanese tour. There are definitely some MJ influences going on, especially for Sweet Impact, whose music video was also inspired by MJ's Moonwalker, iirc. She does love her some MJ! Glad for her sake that she got to work on an official cover of Man In The Mirror with the original songwriter a few years back. Fun fact about the dancers, BoA ended up working with many of them for more than a decade, some since she first began promoting in Japan in 2001 (when she was 14 years old). Explains why she has such great rapport with them during concerts, haha. I personally really love the fits and types of choreo BoA was pulling off '07~'10-ish. Kinda miss when she was, relative to most female performers, masc'ing it up a little bit!
