We've got a lot to talk about since December 2024.
After much time and effort, I am happy to share a new version of AC-SCT with the initial Team Standings function. Many of you have requested for this function, and patiently asked me about it from time to time. I hope to reward your patience today.

Okay, sappiness aside. Tell us - what's actually new?
Changelog [v1.3.0]:
Preliminary phase of Teams Standings: Keep track of the championship standings for Teams, with ability to auto-populate based on available Car Skin data or manual creation!
Please note that only "Standings" display mode is available at the moment with no export option. Continued works will be done to try and bring "Summary" and "Chart" modes to the app, along with exporting as PDF or PNG.
New Points System - F1 2025 and other adjustments: Adjustments to points system, and addition of F1 2025 (without fastest lap)
Please note that further review of each points system will have to be done for instances where only Top X cars or Top X results for each team is counted; this is not implemented yet.
Basic help tooltip: A main help tooltip has been added along with additional tooltips for guidance on how to use the app.
Relocation of logs: You can now find a button under "Settings" tab to open the location of the logs and settings file for easy accessibility.
Hover for points: You can now hover over each result to uncover how many points a driver had collected for each round. The same has been implemented for the Teams standings, where you can see which driver gained how many points for the team in each round.
Further UI enhancements, code refactoring and Flet environment / dependencies updates

...So what's next?
With any further updates to AC-SCT 1.3.x, I will be focusing on the following:
Delivering the additional display modes for Team Standings and ability to export
Updating of points systems for more accurate Team standings calculations where there are specific restrictions (e.g. only Top 2 results in a round count for a team, or only Top 16 rounds count for a team.)
Once I've fulfilled those to make a more complete Team Standings, then we can talk about Manufacturer / Division standings (much love to multi-class racers). And then points system customization upon that foundation. Long way to go still if I do.😅
Okay, so what's up with selling AC-SCT for $5? Are you going to remove access to all apps via subscriptions? How about the free version??? Don't do this to me man!

I've mentioned before that I entirely support one-time purchases in this post last year, and have detailed my reasoning there. I am still keeping the option to subscribe for access to all apps, along with free outdated versions.
I am currently comfortable with this approach, cause hey, at the end of the day, its for a 'game'. I want people to be happy and get joy / sense of ease from using my apps.
That being said, yes, $5 can be steep in other countries. But, I think its only fair that with the amount of hours I've put in, I price it a bit steeply, since buyers will continue to get future updates. Feel free to let me know your thoughts on this!
Okay, but why does a $1 subscription give access to all apps? That doesn't make sense. Are you stupid or kind?
You're right if you have such thoughts. 😂 Look, if you're comfortable with losing $1 each month as passive support, I appreciate you all the more. I want that option to be available to you. Cause the next tier is $2, and to pay that for multiple months can accumulate.
So please provide your thoughts on this below as all of my current Patrons are on that tier.

Hey Alessio! Great idea. I'm actually very much interested in an app that can perform something similar to an auto-BoP, so not quite what you described but it would be really handy. Because the thing is, we should have the exact numbers from data.acd for each car, mainly concerning the weight and power. What's not accounted for would be some variances perhaps in the car's AI quality, gear ratios, aero, suspension, etc. that could lead to an inconsistent laptime in-game. Perhaps with enough data points, we can create a reliable algorithm to generate an approximate auto-BoP to save players the hassle. :D Or, maybe its simply too chaotic and varying hahaha. My knowledge of AC cars is extremely limited so this would require some intense study, but I would love to see it happen. Perhaps in the far future since I need to focus on enhancing the existing apps first. We'll see. Thank you for the suggestion! :)

2025-03-31 16:38:33 +0000 UTCJust a suggestion thinking about this app.Would it be possible to make an app where you enter a specific car that you have on AC,with the driver strength and aggression and a track,conditions,fuel etc and this app would calculate a lap time for that specific car, without keeping to try in game?I make a lot of season presets and an app like that would be amazing without having to change mass of a car,try the lap time,then change it again if the lap time is not right,test it again in game etc etc?
