i think he totaly missed the mindblown scene that when the doc speaks to amy in the angel episode its the doctor from this episode but it WAS in the angel episode and it made NO sense there AT ALL (he even had other clothes on) xD

2020-11-19 19:39:38 +0000 UTCThe Pandorica wasn't supposed to destroy the Tardis - the Tardis was blowing up at somepoint in time - since the only person known to be able to fly the Tardis was the Doctor, locking him up in the Pandorica was supposed to prevent the Tardis blowing up. They didn't know River could also fly the Tardis and that the explosion was already happening.

2019-06-02 19:13:25 +0000 UTCNo slam taken. I don’t know what most people miss or don’t miss. In any rapid-paced episode of Dr. Who, there might be 100 clever references, allusions, sight gags, callbacks, tropes, and the like. Overlooking a few isn’t what I would call failing to pay attention. For some viewers, being immersed in an exciting drama is exactly that: an immersion; they experience the story as if in some vicarious way it is actually happening to them in the moment. Not everyone makes note of curious details when their heart is pounding; or when their head is still spinning from the last impossible paradox casually introduced five seconds earlier. Some people don’t analyze art or life while they experience it, lest they reduce the experience to an intellectual activity. They analyze after the fact instead. For others, this might not be an issue. Yet another way of enjoying Dr. Who is to observe what happens on the screen as from a vantage point. It’s all good in my book.

2019-02-10 02:28:15 +0000 UTCThis isn’t a slam against you, but how do most people miss these references? Are they simply not paying attention? Can they not put together clues or analyze? I don’t get it.

2019-02-08 14:31:11 +0000 UTCA few favorite reaction moments: 1:45 – River’s claim about armies fleeing the Doctor. I don’t think I caught half the references you do when I watched these episodes as they first aired. I needed this season on DVD desperately. 9:20 – “OK, kid…this is where it gets complicated.” “WTF?? How did Amy get in there? What the hell???” The look on your face was worth the price of admission. 11:00 – Rory needs a ridiculous miracle and then the Doctor suddenly appears wearing a fez, holding a mop. You were stunned speechless. 36:30 – “You’ll have your family back. You won’t need your imaginary friend anymore!” My favorite-est failwhale34 reaction, right here. This show doesn’t just stab you in the heart sometimes, it knows exactly where to stab.

2019-02-07 19:17:21 +0000 UTCall of them were fantastic finales but I think they have all been better than the last
2019-02-07 10:25:41 +0000 UTCIt really isn’t. Go back and look again. When the doctor takes Amy’s hands, the doctor isn’t wearing a coat, his forearms are bare. His coat sleeves come down to his wrists. You only see the coat a couple shots later when a sliver of his shoulder comes into frame when Smith moves up slightly
2019-02-07 06:04:28 +0000 UTCEh, I think if it was too easy to spot it gives away that's something up. It's still visible on the rewatch.

2019-02-06 23:01:45 +0000 UTCThat’s the one nitpick I had with that episode (unlike seeing the angels move that everyone else complained about). It should have been a little easier to notice the coat
2019-02-06 22:56:18 +0000 UTCI think ties are cheating, but yes, if I did that, it would be a top two list since most would tie.
2019-02-06 22:53:34 +0000 UTCGreat reaction! This is my favourite finale. Looking forward to your reactions to season 6 :D

2019-02-06 13:22:42 +0000 UTCPlease watch city of death for a classic episode, you won't regret it
2019-02-06 09:55:13 +0000 UTCI'd probably rank exactly the same tbh. Maybe Journey and Parting would be tied for me, but otherwise the same.

2019-02-06 06:45:25 +0000 UTCI’m happy the ending is happy. I don’t think I could take something as sad as Donna’s fate again. If you want my rankings of the first five finales, it would go: (1) 5th season, Big Bang (2) 4th, Journeys End (3) 1st, Parting of the Ways (4) 2nd, Doomsday (5) 3rd, Last of the Time Lords
2019-02-06 06:00:15 +0000 UTCCouldn't tell whether you followed or not since you were kinda just silently concentrating, but they set up his talking to Amy during the "rewind" beautifully earlier in the season. Back in the Angels episode: -the Doctor loses his coat to the Angels -the Doctor leaves Amy with the soldiers while she's blind -the Doctor comes back, takes her hands and says some cryptic stuff about "remember when you were seven". If you're looking closely (the camera angle makes it hard to notice), he's wearing his coat again -we next see the Doctor with River, coatless Here, we find out that he never actually came back for her, and it was the future Doctor, during his rewind, who came to her to give her that message as part of his last gamble to survive erasure.

2019-02-06 05:59:31 +0000 UTCGreat reaction! This is my favorite fanale, loved getting to watch it with you. I really like how it wraps up the season and the bit where Amy remembers the Doctor is when I truly fell in love with her character. Amy and Rory are my favorite companions by far. Very excited for the Christmas special as well!
