I really like this episode wih how its given us some introspect into the characters personalities and specifically Himeno who seemed to be calm and collected until Aki's life is threatened. Idk if i understood it right but i believe those vraves were her partner's and she talks about how all her partners always die leaving her behind but Aki was different and stayed alive so now she's terrified of him dying like the rest and thus even goes against Aki's wish to use the sword and when Aki gets hurt she gets into hysterics similar to how the rookie girl acted and i think that shows how her stability relies on her attachment to Aki
